CUPS messed up after hardware change

Hi all,

I was using Mandrake 10.0 when I had a motherboard failure. So I replaced my motherboard and when I started it prompted me to configure some new devices or something but otherwise it started up just fine.

Everything else seems to work properly but I canīt get my printer to print anything. I look under services and I find that CUPS is stopped. Clicking on Start has no effect. I try starting it from the command line and it says:

cups: started scheduler. [ OK ]

Yet I still canīt print anything and in the GUI it still says that the service is stopped.

Do I have to reinstall it or something to get the service running? Or should I just reinstall the whole OS?(What I would have done with Windows :p )

Thanks in advance.

i would definately try reinstalling cups first. reinstalling the os seems overkill to me unless you changed to a different mobo which you may need to reinstall the os. but if you changed to the exact same mobo, you shouldn't need to reinstall the os.

Thanks for the advice megaspaz but reinstalling CUPS doesnīt seem to work. And it is a different mobo.
