cups

How do I get CUPS to start with the computer. I hate loggin in as root and having to type in "cupsd". Also, in Open Office, why isn't the option for CUPS priting there?

as root, do chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.cups

this will start the cups scheduler at bootup

in openoffice, after cups is started, your printer should be listed
