I'm annoyed. I just lost some code I was typing because I was trying to hit
ctrl-alt-shift-5 (regexp replace in Emacs), but accidentally hit
ctrl-alt-shift-F5.
This dumped me out of gnome and took me to the plaintext terminal.
Now, I've been on Linux for just a few months and haven't seen that yet. With no GUI, of course I couldn't look online to see what to do. So I had no choice but to reboot
So, two questions:
1. Where do I change that ctrl-alt-shift-F5 key command? It's a very easy slip of the finger and chances are I'll do that again.
2. If it does dump me out of my x session, is there a way to go back to the existing session with all the apps and data intact? Or is everything catastrophically gone because of an accidental keystroke?
Thanks,
James
