cs 1.5 server

ok so i like tried this "./hlds_l_3110_full.bin" and got this :
error reading meta data, Cannot allocate memory

which is bs cuz i was running it under text mode and i have 256ram

so i tried "sh hlds_l_3110_full.bin " and got this :

cannot execute binary file

i have no idea what im doing wrong and iam new to linux soo can u guys please help me out???

What does file say? ie

file hlds_l_3110_full.bin

if u can't figure it out, get the tar.gz file instead.

Okay... Hold the phone.

If you are using the HLDS binary you will need to do the following:

1) Switch to the folder where you downloaded hlds_l_3110_full.bin to

2) type: "./hlds_l_3110_full.bin" (Without the quotes of course!)

3) The installer will start up.

I am a total newbie as well. I found this out the hard way by spending hours looking through Google searches. DO NOT follow the instructions that accompany any Halflife Dedicated Server downloads, as most of them are crap or out-dated. I have found this site to be the most helpful.
