I think I finally got it down.

Another important set is to make sure /etc/crypttab is setup correctly.

Code:

encrypt_sdb1   UUID="some_random_number"
I can't remember exactly what I was putting here, however it was having problems mounting this and I wasn't getting asked for the password for the LUKS partition while booting up.

In case you haven't already got it, "some_random_number" should be the UUID that you see in a luksDump of the LUKS container:
Code:
cryptsetup luksDump /dev/mapper/Vol_Group02-LogVol00
You can also just put the device name in that field.
Code:
encrypt_sdb1 /dev/mapper/Vol_Group02-LogVol00
There are pros and cons to either approach. Using the device name means you don't have to change anything if you re-do the encryption setup. Using the UUID means that the system can identify that LUKS container even if you move it to a different device.
