Cron Job


Im new to linux and i want to set up a cron job to run every friday at 1000 pm. The file is test.sh. and i located in /usr/etc

Could someone giv eme a example please on how to run a cron job to run every friday at 1000pm

'man crontab' explains it pretty well, with examples.

ok

i cant fiqure it out. I have test.sh and i want it to run every friday at 1000pm.
DO i just place the file in cron daily, an dchange the contab config? or do i need a text file with the path of test.sh???

tinkster is very wise.

follow his instructions to the letter and you'll be good to go.

also, do you have Webmin installed and running? It's great for helping new users and power users.
