Question cricket broadband

hello all

this is my problem i have and linux ubuntu 9.04 and like it but the problem is that i have a cricket broadband and linux doesnt read it.
i also went to network to the place that say broadband and i put all the information but nothing happen...

can some one help me

Do you use a modem, a router?
Is your netwokcard recognized?
Wired, wireless....
