Creating Wireless Interface

I am trying to get the wireless networking hooked up so I can continue my install on a Dell Inspiron 600m. I typed in iwconfig and it shows:

lo: no wireless extensions

eth0: no wireless extensions

How do I create a network interface for my wireless card? And how do I configure it after that. I do not have a working internet connection other than the wireless connection from windows which picks it up fine, so I cannot emerge packages. Is there any way to do this just using iwconfig and the other wireless tools that come with the Gentoo livecd?

I think you must compile the driver.

Look at page for instructions.

And don't forget to turn it on (i fighted a lot until I realized that the wireless switch was off)
