creating video .

mandrake 10.0

i have to make one video of my desktop.
i can take a image or picture of my desktop using ksnapshot.
but instead of capturing the 5 min. video from my desktop.

because i am running one program on my desktop.
i want to moniter that and if i take one small video from desktop i can shoe it to my friends.

SO IS THERE ANY COMMAND OR PACKAGES.

The only thing I've heard of is using VNC to see the desktop on another computer and then using a VNC recording program.
