Creating Shortcuts on KDE for Fedora Core 4

So I'm really new t o Fedora Core and I was wondering how to place a newly installed program on the KDE desktop menu. I installed XMMS and did the whole ./configure make make install jig on the shell and it installed just fine. I can run the program from the shell. However, I want to see it on the sound and video menu of KDE. Please help.

I know I know, I'm still breaking away slowly from windows. The comfort zone is gone, but it's fun.

FC is updated so you may wish to try the latest version.

2) normally if you are using on the KDE (start) button and go to system or config and look for menu editor and add the file name to your menu

Right-click on the desktop, chose new, then program and follow the usual procedures (it's much like windows anyhow).
