Smile Creating lvm in fedora linux 13


I have trouble to create the LVM as i applied following procedures.
I installed linux on Oracle virtualbox and my based OS windows xp

[root@localhost ~]# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 8589 MB, 8589934592 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 1044 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x000cdc32

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 102400 83 Linux
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda2 13 30 131072 82 Linux swap / Solaris
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda3 30 1045 8154112 83 Linux

According to above you haven't tried to do anything with lvm, I suggest you Google for a guide after you add some free storage

First off fedora 13 is very DEAD it went End of LIFE on "2011-06-04"
a year and a half ago

it has NOT received and security updates in 1.5 YEARS and NEVER WILL

Please stay current and install fedora 17 or in a few weeks Fedora 18

BUT
If you MUST 100% must use a dead version of Fedora then please see the "End Of Life" thread over at FedoraForum
