Creating Live CDs

Hi!
I'm interested in creating a live CD with VectorLinux 6.0 Light Live. There is a download link available at DistroWatch, but I'm not sure whether the CD requires that the iso is downloaded straight to the CD, or whether I instead download it to a folder and copy it onto the CD later.
I ask for forgiveness in advance with this trivial question!
Also, having created the CD, are there any special operations/inputs that have to be performed, other than changing the Boot Order to the E: drive first?
Cheers!
Jordan

The iso format is a complete copy of a CD including the boot sector etc. You will need to download the iso image and use some cd burning software which is aware of the iso image format. Open the iso image in your CD burning program and it will create a bootable CD for you. Then using you BIOS setup ensure that you boot from the CD first and that should do it.

Thanks very much ArfaSmif! VectorLinux is working wonderfully (I'm using it for the first time right now)! I'm having fun working out all the little nuances!
Cheers!

Well, it's because this thread is about making a live cd. Which itself is beyond newbie level, and a LiveCD is a distribution type. ;)
