How do i create a file using linux red hat 8.0?

touch file.name

i want to be able to create a file called tigger which i can put a command line in it

just use a text editor.... :confused:

i do not know which one to use in linux red hat 8.0. What is available?

pico
nano
vi
emacs
jove
joe
vim
elvis
mc

and a million others

cat > tigger
command
<control-d>

i'm sure that will raise other questions though.
