Creating Boot Disks From ISO image

I have acquired the Fedora 8 iso image and I am trying to create a bootable DVD with different types of burner software and I just can't seem to burn anything onto the disks.

I have to use a Windows application to do this because my laptop has the DVD burner, which is running XP.

I have tried Roxio, Sonic, and Nero and everytime I think that I have burned the image onto the DVD, I then look at it through Windows Explorer, and I don't see anything.

Then I thought that Windows would not see the contents of the DVD since the burner (I would assume) took the iso image and made a bootable file, so I tried to boot it up in the machine that will run Fedora, and I get the message, "No operating system found".

Can anyone tell me what applications they use to create bootable disks from iso images?

I use Nero 6 and it burns ISO images fine. Could you ISO image be corrupt?

Hey tekmann33

You can use ISO Recorder when you want to burn ISO files on windows.

one more thing try to write cd at low speed. like 36x or 24x.

Good Luck
