create image file for os in vmware
Hi everyone, I am newbie for Linux. I am using window 7 desktop and I installed VMware on it. And I installed debian 7.2 os in VMware workstation. After I boot up debian os, I also installed some requirements like opencv and so on. After that, I want to make .img file for the whole debian. Coz original debian was not included the requirements I want like opencv. So that's why I wanna make .img. Is it possible? If my question is a bit weird, so sorry for that. Thanks.

Not sure what you want to make. A vm has either a single or group of files that are the contents of the clients hard drive. Just copy them.
To make a clone of copy of almost any real or virtual hard drive you can use tools like dd or distro's like gparted or clonezilla or redobackup. |
