Create a distro off my desktop

Hi
Is it possible to make a distro based off your desktop. So for exampled I could edit my Linux box, configure it how I like, and run a system that turns it into a distro?
Possible or am i just being a noob? I know you can use the Linux Live scripts.

Thanks

If you want to use it only on very similar systems, you can just archive all your partitions and unpack them on install. Find some very small LiveCD to make CD bootable, and append archives as data folders (write a second session). You'll have to run unpacking (and possibly, installing bootloader, read man grub, or partitioning, read man sfdisk) by hand, bu it can be done by a script.

I know that you can use rBuilder, but I don't really know any other way except the linux live scripts.

rbuilder is here:

linux-live.org has some scripts that you can run to do this :)
