crazy synaptic touch pad on notebook

Hello all,

I am configuring Fedora Core 6 on a notebook computer for a friend.

I have noticed that when using Firefox, as a glide my finger over the touch pad, Firefox will sometimes step back a page (similar to if I had clicked the back button in Firefox).

The touchad works perfect in any other application, I have only noticed odd things with it when using Firefox.

Does anybody know of a fix for this crazy beaviour?

Regards,
Greenie

I think this problem may be related to one of the many features of the Synaptic touchpads fitted to notebook computers.

I have edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and added 'Option "HorizScrollDelta" "0" ' to the Synaptic Input Device section

Lets see how that goes for little while...

Stay tuned ...
