couple questions from a NOOB!

Hey fellas, Im new to the board just wanted to say hello!, I also have a few questions

I have heard of linux for years, im ready to jump in..

I own a powerbook g4 800mhz running OSX.

Can the default burner on my computer burn the yellow dog ISO file and run it? if so how..Give me some details on what's the first thing I have to do to get the OS running on my computer, I want OSX and Linux..help!

To burn an iso to a cd (and I am a Windows and Linux user but the procedure should be roughly the same for Macs) - put in blank cd, open burner program, select the option which says to create the cd from an image.

I would also suggest you go to www.yellowdoglinux.com and check out the installation howtos. Its a bit different on a Mac than a pc.

Good luck and welcome to the board.

i am unfimilar with the yellow dog setup program ... but most distros in some way or form allow you to config ur partitions within the setup program..

Yellow Dog have some howtos and some downloadable instructions on their site. They should get you through some basic questions - they will also tell you which program you should boot with.
