couldn't find the kernel version the module was compiled for
 
I am tring to load a module for the kernel 2.4.21 and it says: couldn't find the kernel version the module was compiled for. I tried using insmod -f but i still have the problem. I checked with uname -r but the kernel version is the correct one. What could be the problem?
