Arrow Could Not Find Internet Address on startup of GNOME

Well, I am having a problem which I have found many people having but I can still not solve mine. I have checked the hosts file and I added the localhost.localdomain localhost, and that did not fix it. I checked the etc/sysconfig/network and I made sure HOSTNAME=localhost.localdomain, and thats correct too. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I am using a static ip.

One thing, when I type hostname -a, -s, -f ,-d it says Hostname: Unknown host. On my other computer with the same distro it says localhost or has an answer.
