Could i access the Windows File Systems from Linux?

I have wonder this, is there any application software currently can access the MS Windows file systems?
If there is, how useful it is. I hope soon to be reply.

yes and no. You can mount your NTFS parition, but it'll be mounted as read only. You can't make any changes to it, and you can't write to it. There is a project called captiveNTFS, but I don't know how reliable it is
