Angry correct grub.conf, reboot and cannot get grub prompt...

Hi everyone,
I have a serious problem,
I did search most of the problem, seen like it is not what i want,

scenario:

i have run rescue disk and follow those step, according to the red hat boot rescue mode(http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...mode-boot.html
partition is fine with grub.conf
I did not change anything, when doing a reboot, grub does not prompt.
grub.conf i leave it as default, did not change anything.

i just want to know why i can't get into grub prompt after reboot.

i really need your help.

I'm apperciate for your help

It sounds like either you didn't run "grub-install" or you installed the boot strap loader to the wrong disk.

If you have more than one disk, you could try booting up to the other disk. Most computers let you do this once by pressing a certain key right away.
