copying a list of files


I'm trying to copy a list a files, stored in a text file, to another directory. Any ideas?

I got it. It appears the command I was using didn't like have Windows style newlines. I had to switch the text editor to use Unix style newlines.
The command I used is:
cpio -p directory < listOfFiles

you could just try ls > newFile.txt
