Angry Copy video DVD with Fedora 3

Hello I just got my new dvd dual layer dvd burner and I am quite happy with it. I can make data dvd's with ease from K3B. But I have had 0 luck making a copy of my DVD movie. I am not trying to be a pirate but my Kill Bill DVD has tons of skips and I really want to try and copy it. You can make backups of movies you own correct?

I have searched google over and over and I cannot find one simple howto on the subject. I have played with StreamDVD and dvdrecord. I am guessing there is a straight froward way to copy the dvd, make an *.iso then burn that *.iso.

Please help I am pulling hair out at a frighting rate.

Thanks,
Venn

I used this - although not with fedora, but that shouldn't matter
works on about 75% of the dvds I tried it on. I think it has to do
with dual layered dvds.

FYI I don't own a dvd burner so I haven't had the chance to try out this software, but our very own acid_kewpie is undoubtedly a great programmer!

[edit]
I guess that this makes a divx copy? I'm not sure, but you still might want to look into it.
