Copy users
It's possible to copy the users to one computer to another?

I've tried to copy the /etc/passwd , /etc/shadow and /etc/groups but when arrives in the login screen it's like it can't open the screen and try again and again...

Hi carlosOFF,

I think, your copies are fine - but you also should copy their home-dirs...
After that, if should work.

Greets and good luck

You need to use the -p option, in order to preserve the permissions.
However, you could tar the /home directory, and then untar it at the destination computer.

Kind regards

So I can copy the files /etc/passwd , /etc/shadow and /etc/group and /etc/passwd- , /etc/shadow- and /etc/group-
and the home directorys?
the -p? is when I copy the passwd... ?

I have one question, how, it will mantain the permission if in the new computer the isn't the users?

No - the "-p" is especially for the /home-dir.
