too you can highlight the line then try using that middle button if your mouse got one for clicking on the text to paste it to the >prompt area
useful for when you're in a dir and ls to see contents then find the executable just add your ./ highlight it then middle click it instead of having to type it all out to run it off the command line.

what terminal are you using? that has a big influence on that.
