copy files from Windows to Linux

Hi,

I am running Windows XP and have set up Ubuntu on my pc through Sun xVM VirtualBox.

I have created a Shared folder in Windows C:\ and have created a shared directory in virtual Linux where I can see my shared files.

I now would like to copy these files into my solution directory in Ubuntu.

Could someone let me know how this is done?

Thanks,

Tim

If I get this correctly, you're already seeing the contents of the shared folder? If so, just mark them all (Ctrl+a), copy them (Ctrl+c), open the target directory, paste (Ctrl+v).

M.

P.S. I'm pretty sure it's not that simple - but I think I need more information to understand the problem completely.

The files are in places > shared on 10.0.2.2

I am being asked to copy the .dll files into my solution directory, so I can select and copy them, but there is no facility to paste them there.

I think the basic idea of this part of the course is to:

1. create a shared folder in windows

2. once the files are in linux, copy them into the solution directory, then go back into Mono Develop and do things like edit references etc...
