copy files from windows partition when I am in linux os platform
 
Hi

I have a dual boot system with Windows vista and linux.
does anyone knows how to copy files from windows partition when I am in linux os platform.

Mount the partition under Linux and then copy the files using cp.

Depending on the distro and your system settings, your windows partition might be mounted by default if th Windows partition was already existing when you installed Linux (I know this is the case with recent Ubuntu installs - not so sure about other distros).

Once the device is mounted, you can access it using whatever file manager you use for other file operations.

What distro and desktop environment do you use?
