copy file from my to unix box


hi .. i have a file that i copied git-2.7.4.tar.gz and i want to install on my Linux box. how do i get it over the unix box from my pc

Install winscp and scp it over

Which OS is the PC running and which server processes are available on the UNIX box?

tftp, ftp, scp, rcopy, and such should be possible

if you want to install git on your linux box, that is not the way to do it.
if your linux box is connected to the internet, you just use your package management to install git starigh from the web.
if it is not connected to the internet, you still use your package management, but have to get a package suitable for your systtem.

so, is it connected to the internet?
