Popularly Linux means any distribution using Linux Kernel with other softwares.

Knoppix, Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSUSE, Fedora and many others are linux only.

What you need is learn Linux commands.

Kind of a dupe post in some ways.

There are many ways to copy and clone. You can use a bit by bit program like dd. dd is available on almost every live distro. If not it can even be added to a live boot environment.

dd is very good and has some very bad issues too.

You can easily use file based clone means if you wish. Apps like gparted and partimage as well as distro's like clonzilla and G4U. (G4U actually uses dd)
