Cookies not working...

Just got my first Linux box installed and configured. Have a question about cookies. Whenever I logout of my Linux box and log back in, I have to login again at this site (and others). I see my username and password filled in, but the auto login part isn't working.

Yes, I checked my settings. Both cookies and autologin are checked.

Any ideas?

What browser are you using?

Also...Depending on your browser it may be set so Cookies are only *good* for the current session...that is they will be forgotten after you close your browser.

I am using Konqueror and this site seems to work fine for me if that is any help.

Thanks for the reply g00$e. I'm using Mozilla 1.2.1. I've checked the cookie settings and all cookies are enabled.

Hey rcarr-

I checked the Mozilla on my machine (Version 1.3) and by defalut the setting:

"Limit maximun lifetime of cookies to:"

has no items checked which would be the correct setting in this case.

If this is the true in your situation you may wish to get the latest version of Mozilla. I remember having problems with 1.2.1 WRT this very issue.

If you are not stuck on Mozilla give Konqueror a try. I love what the Mozilla folks are doing but Konqueror is just so much faster. I mean _really_ faster.

I just downloaded the latest Mozilla. I'll see if that does the trick.

Thanks
