Control Volume in KDE?

I I just switched from Gnome to KDE yesterday, and I want to know how I can get volume control. In Gnome, there would be a volume control icon in the system tray that I could simply click on and adjust. There is nothing like this in KDE and I can not find any control in any of the start menu applications either. Does anyone know how I can get this feature? I need to be able to mute volume in meetings and the like. I really like KDE and don't want to have to go back to Gnome.

Thanks

Have a look at your mixers in the multimedia section of your menu. You should have at least kmix, and possibly aumix as well.
good luck.

Get ALSA (if you don't have it already), configure it. Run "alsamixer", make sure you turn on the main channel and when you're done, run "alsactl store". That should store the settings of the mixer.

KMix is probably in your KDE. Open a console and
type

whereis kmix

Mine's in /usr/bin/kmix .
