continue slackware install of packs on d2
im sure its a simple solution but i can't seem to find it.
I've had slackware 13.0 installed for a little while now and I would like to continue the installation of packages on disk 2.

You can boot the install disc and start installing software again. When asked to define the partitions just set each one to the same location as before and choose the do not format option. After that you can select the package groups to install, selecting only what you have not installed already.

What affinity is saying is that you go through the whole process (so boot from disk 1). Not sure if it's the right way to go.

I've never installed additional packages in Slackware, so can't advice but I guess that you can install the packages using the package manager.

mount the second cd to some mount point

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt
change to the slackware directory on the cd.

cd /mnt/slackware
then run pkgtool and select the current directory.

scratch my last post. easier is put in first cd and do as affinity suggest and select packages not selected on the first install. or if you have a good internet connection use slackpkg to install
