Context-Dependent Path Names


Hello,

Found that RedHat Linux supports Context-Dependent Path Names in symbolic links using special reserved CDPN variables. Will it be possible to create a user-defined CDPN variable and use it in creating a symbolic link?

Based on my read of this doc at CentOS written by RedHat I don't see anything that would allow for user defined variables:

It also seems this is something relevant only to GFS (shared) filesystems.

And it appears starting with RHEL5.3 they've gone over to GFS2 from GFS and GFS2 no longer supports CDPN. They suggest use of the bind option of mount instead:
