console formatting over telnet session


I have a problem when i'm connecting to switch from linux by telnet

i get quastion mark and stars, i solved this problem by enter

"mode line" command in linux when i was connected to the switch

but i still have problem to use arrows it's writing some undifine characters.


could anybody help me with configuration of telnet on linux.

please use better thread titesl. how does "HELP!!!" tell us about your problem at all? also not networking related. moved to Linux - Newbie. you might want to also provide some useful information, livke what switch it is, but it looks very much like a vendor issue.

Thank you chris next time i will be more specific and give
more details. i think it's a vendor problem too.

Can you give me some link how to change setup telnet like: terminal, charackters, etc....)
