Console crashed
 

I compiled a new kernel last night (2.4.12) and everything was going fine when i left work which was about 30 minutes after i started running the new kernel. Well when I came in this morning i realized my box had crashed, the KVM couldn't pick up a monitor, keyboard or mouse signal. So i checked my /var/log/messages and it stopped marking about an hour and a half after i left work last night.

So i figure this must be a kernel problem as my box was up for about 2 weeks straight with no problems before I compiled the new kernel. Thing is though I just don't see anything wrong with the config. Power management support is off so that rules that out... I could really use any suggestions cause this is supposed to be my web/name server and I really don't want it crashing all the time.

Maybe it's just 2.4.12 is a bad kernel?

ok it did it again last night. this time it did it like 5 hours after i left work and that was like 12 hours after i booted up with that kernel yesterday. I'm still kind of stumped if anyone has any ideas?
