Connection to MySQL very slow
 
My connection to MySQL 4.1 on my debian 3.1 server is extremely slow and the server is sitting in the same local network (same room).

It connects but is VERY slow! Any ideas anyone?!

c'mon.. is your mysql slow or is your local network slow? try to figure that out first. Probably its not network problem, rather your mysql servers is overloaded. Try searching net for mysql optimization tips etc,...

Not to worry, it came right. We don't know what fixed it, but we are leaving it as is.
