Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

You don't download and run 'exe' files via Linux. You can use 'WINE' for certain programs but that is not always successful.

You need to provide more information. What type of connection, wired or wireless between your modem? Which version of Ubuntu?

What have you attempted?
