Connection Failed Bad password

whenever i try to connect to the internet wireless through wicd
it says Connection Failed Bad Password

What is your system?---i.e. what flavor of Linux?

Did you disable all other network managers?

What security setting?--eg WEP, WPA?

did you try re-setting the Wireless access point / router?

I am using Xfce on debian and it is WEP I dont believe that there is anymore network managers

Has it ever worked?---or is this a first-time setup?

Is the router / access point set up for WEP 64 or 128? Also note that WEP has two kinds of passwords---hex and passphrase

Please give a much detail as you can---eg the type of router / access point, other computers connected, etc.
