Connecting to wireless network using command line.

I dont particularly like the network manager applet available in Fedora 11. I use system-config-network utility to configure my network devices. But it gives no option to connect to a wireless network. Is there a way we could connect to a wireless network using command line. Also it would be nice if we could the whole configuration using command line.

If someone can give an example of configuring and connecting to networks , starting from the basic level in command line.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Use the iwconfig command to configure wireless from the command line.
Code:
man iwconfig
It contains examples and everything so that should get you going.

Kind regards,

Eric
