Connecting PC to Wireless Network

SuSE 10.3 is running on a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop. It has a Dell wireless 1350 802.11 b/g PC Card for home network connection. I am a newbie to Linux. Is there anyway to make this wireless card work? Great detail is needed for me to understand this issue. If worse comes to worse is there a PC card that will run in this pc and be easier to configure for Linux?

Thank you,

John J.

I believe this card uses the Broadcom 4306 chipset. Check the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) in this forum and look up the Broadcom chipset. I think you'll need to use ndiswrapper - not sure if the firmware must be updated as well.

Connecting wirelss network to a laptop

As a newbie I need precise a to z instructions on how to connect a dellwireless 1350 pc card running on a Presario 2100 with a linksys wireless g router to gain network and internet access. I have no idea how to do this let alone know where to get or use ndis wrapper for instance. If anyone can walk me through this I would be so grateful.
