jrk007:

You need a Nokia PC Suite to backup contents of your phonebook. Unfortunately so far Nokia has not yet released a pc suite to install on Linux. I hope it won't be long to wait.

What I did: Install an Xp, dual booting on my pc to host the Nokia software that accesses nokia phones. I also had to maintain a data partition formatted in NTFS to hold my phonebook backups because I have to accommodate several cellphone backups from other users. I may have solved software compatibility issues through wine, but this one I cant hurdle. I conceded for the sake of phone backups.

Hope this helps.
