Okay, well, I have the entry made already, in sudoers, like this:

myusername ALL=(ALL) ALL NOPASSWD: ALL
I still get access denied. What do I try now?

Ha! I figured it out. I didn't need sudo at all. Two things helped it to work out:
1. I disabled selinux
2. in smb.conf, I uncommented the line under [global]: username map = /etc/samba/smbusers

Now I can browse and edit files till my heart is content!
