Connect Router With FreeBSD

I'm setting up a LAN between my Windows system and my FreeBSD system. I am a total newbie when it comes to Linux (and FreeBSD). I Have already set-up the router and it's settings using windows. How do I get the FreeBSD connected with the router as well?

No configuration is required. You simply plug the computer (any computer, any OS) into the router and let it automatically get a DHCP lease from the router (which it should do by default).
