Connect Linux to Windows network

Just installed Suse 9.1. I am now trying to connect it to a windows 2003 active directory network. Can anyone help please?

The ussal way to connect Windoze machines to Linux is to install Samba. It has to be configured on the Linux end and on the Windoze end. Since the windoze end is installed, (my assumtion from your post) you will need to know things like workgroup name and host names. Samba can act as both a client and server.

Hvae a look at this link, it has very good documentation, and should give you a starting point. If you need more help, post information on your network as well. The link: http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/using_samba/toc.html

You might also need the newer version of Samba. I'm not familar with Suse, but I beleive you will need Samba 3 if you want to have AD support.
