confused about webcan
I'm using a logitech quickcam chat. It works with camorama, gyache, kopete, and camstream. But it freezes after only a few seconds.
Not sure what I should do. Seems like the driver is right or it wouldn't work at all. And the camera must be compatible with linux or it wouldn't work. Right?
The camera works, but freezes after a few seconds. This happens with different internet connections.
What can I do? Get a different camera? Do you have any ideas?
Thanks

The camera freezes with every application I use. I don't know which kernel I'm using. I will research that, and see if I'm using the correct driver. I will post again when I have that information. Thank you.

The kernel is 2.6.20-16-generic
I will attach the results of lsmod, but it looks like 'gspca' to me. In this list, the webcam is not running.
