confuring dnsmasq for private network not connected to the internet

Hi all

I want to set up a dns server on fedora 13 using the dnsmasq dns since Im told that it is simple compared to DNS bind. I have installed it on my fedora 13 machine which is acting as a server (webserver and mail server).

I want to all my machines (both linux and windows XP) connected on the LAN which does not have an internet connection and has a windows server 2003 enterprise ( which Ive little understanding of at the present moment) to connect to my linux hosted web and mail servers.

I dont understand what to do next once Ive installed dnsmasq and I dont have an internet connection-private network.

Can someone please help me forge a way forward, I am new on this subject.

samu

Look through /etc/dnsmasq.conf, it's very well documented.
