Configuring Wireless in BT4
 
I've searched a few threads here, but am still having difficulty in configuring my wireless conection in BT4...Pls give me the cmnds etc...required to setup wireless connection in bt4....thanks in advance :)

you didn't mention your cards model, maybe there is no driver to use BT monitor mode, etc. please post the lspci or lsusb output.

If I just type in 'Ispci' or 'Isusb' it gives comand not found, but iwconfig does not recognize anywireless extensions...:confused:

You did type that in terminal lspci or lsusb

maybe both commands are not installed on BT4.. than you need to know your hardware.

Where did you type lsusb in DID you open a terminal and enter it. The commands do work on BT4

Yes, I typed tose cmnds in Terminal, and the 'command not found' msg pops up....

Device Manager shows 802.11n Wireless Lan Card, and my adapter is the std. Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Virtual? As in you're running this on a virtual machine? If so, your internal wireless card is not going to work directly with Backtrack, making many of its features useless.

But I also use BT5 in virtual machine where wireless works just fine
