configuring the keyboard

I am embarrassed to ask this question...but here goes:

I'm running Redhat 9 and I just got a new USB keyboard. When I am typing quickly with the keyboard, sometime keys will stick making the text look like thissssssssssssssss.

I would like to try changing the keyboard driver, but can't seem to figure out how. Is there a program for the keyboard that is anagalous to /usr/sbin/mouseconfig?

My Satellite 2400 did the same thing; I found a fix here from a guy with a similarly challenged Tecra 9000. It works fine now, though I'd recommend setting a value even smaller than the one he recommends if you type at all quickly.
