configuring startup
i'm new to linux. i have redhat 9 intalled. when i boot, it seems to take forever to start and i my system is very slow. how do i configure startup so i don't have a bunch of unecessy services running?

You have two choices. You can use the gui provided by redhat by typing:
redhat-config-services or you can use the command line tool chkconfig: chkconfig --list |
